About Supervision

In my role as a supervisor I pay attention to the needs of the supervisee and believe that central to good supervision is the strength of the supervisory relationship, facilitating an open working environment. Supervision gives the opportunity to take a step back to reflect on your work. Within this holding environment, learning, creativity and support are fostered.

I provide Supervision for qualified counsellors and trainees or other professionals in related areas. I work with both individuals and groups.

The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical framework states - 61. ‘We also recommend supervision to anyone providing therapeutically-based services, working in roles that require regularly giving or receiving emotionally challenging communications, or engaging in relationally complex and challenging roles’.

For professionals who are not counsellors but find themselves ‘on the frontline’ I am also trained to facilitate reflective practice.

"As my supervisor I have always found Diana to be authentic, warm and challenging in equal measure. Her depth of knowledge and level of experience allows for a very containing and holding environment where I not only consistently leave with fresh insight but a fresh approach to my work".
